I have to take a moment to thank Joanne (you can see her blog on acai side effects ) for her recommendation of Acai Power Blast. I started taking it a while ago, and man, have I ever noticed a difference. My energy levels are way higher, and I’ve lost some weight too!

A Scenic Tour of Switzerland Including Lake Geneva

One of the neatest things to do is to go on a tour of some of the various places in switzerland. I had a chance to take a relatively short tour (it took about half to three quarters of the day) to Lausanne and Geneva. We crossed into France for a quick visit to the quaint little town of Annency and then came back through Mont Blanc and Evian, as we

made our way back into Switzerland as we returned to Villars.

Lake Geneva is amazing.

Hostellerie Bon Accueil – A Gorgeous Historic hotel in Switzerland

Some of the coolest things that you can see in switzerland has to be it’s historic hotels. Many of them date back into the 17th century and as a result, their architecture and design is truly unique. Many of them have been tastefully updated, but still retain their historic charm.

One of the ones that I saw was the Hostellerie Bon Accueil -Château d’OEx.

It’s an old chalet from the mid 1700s and it overlooks the village and is surrounded by a large garden. The views that it offers of the Highlands are simply breathtaking. As for the rooms, there are only about 17 of them, and some come with with a terrace!!

It’s an extremely romantic and quite place – I’d highly recommend checking it out.

It is a 500-year-old Knight’s Hall and has a thousand-year-old wine cellar as well – how’s that for historic?

Beautiful Lake Lucerne

Lake Lucerne in Switzerland has got to be one of the most gorgeous lakes in the world. It’s surrounded by beautiful mountains and is right next to one of the most interesting little cities that I’ve ever been in – the town of (obviously) Lucerne.

It’s an old, medieval-style town with beautiful squares and lofty towers. And it also features the world famous Lion Monument. Maybe I’ll post a picture of that later.

So, naturally, I simply had to go to St. Gotthard Pass in Switzerland. I mean, really, how could I pass it up? With such an incredibly windy track of road settled amidst the rocky crags settled in Switzerland with snow-capped mountains all around. It’s something you simply must see firsthand to really appreciate.

It’s absolutely incredible. Being on the way to Milan, you really should take the time. And it is a geographic representation as to where german speaking people stop and italian speaking people start!!

I’m really excited to get this whole blog thing going. I have heard a lot about it over the past years (I mean, who hasn’t, right?), but I’ve finally decided to step out online.

Of course, I have big plans to regularly update this blog, chronicling some of the more interesting (or random) things that happen in my life, but I guess I’ll have to wait and see how that goes for now in terms of how often I am able to update it.

I love traveling, so there’s a good chance that I may be posting a few pictures of various places around the world for you to sample, along with some of the interesting things I’ve come to notice.
